URD has updated our Tacoma Cat-Back system, now called the Mark4 version. We have redesigned the tail pipe section to better accommodate the larger spare tire of the 4×4 trucks while still fitting the rear sway bar and ground affects package of the XRunner. The system uses a very large muffler to tame the exhaust note when used with cat-less headers and Y pipes. It sounds wonderful no matter what the combination!!!
URD 3″ stainless Cat-Back fits all access cab trucks and double cab short beds too (not for double cab long beds).
The New Mark 4 system now has our new anti-drone technology. This is a true resonating J tube that is tuned to cancel unwanted exhaust frequencies that contribute to exhaust drone while cruising. The exhaust goes from a nice high performance with a deep tone while accelerating hard to a very quiet purr sound while cruising. The best of both worlds.

URD’s 3″ Tacoma cat-back exhaust system is handmade in the USA, and it is made of quality, heavy gauge (wall thickness) 304 grade stainless steel. All bends are mandrel bent to ensure that the exhaust keeps its full 3″ diameter from the beginning to end so flow is maximized. The 304 grade stainless material will look great for many years and will outlast the truck its self.
This system installs to the stock mounting points and it bolts up to the stock Y pipe, URD Y pipe, or the Doug Thorley Y pipe. No cutting or welding is needed to install. Complete installation takes about 20 minutes.
When URD designed this Cat-Back system we had our own supercharger system in mind as well as other forced induction systems. We were concerned that the large 3″ diameter piping might be too much for normally aspirated combinations and might lose some low end power. We did dyno tests and we were very pleased to see that there was no low end power penalty when installed on a normally aspirated engine. We were even more pleased to see the nice gains in the entire RPM range. So, for you normally aspirated folks, this system works great.
