The stock rubber induction hose features accordion-style flex joints, which are known to degrade, harden, and crack when exposed to engine bay temperatures and fluids for a long period of time. Leaks in this post-MAF hose can result in lean air-fuel ratios, often triggering a check engine light and impacting drivability.
