The URD traction bar prevents the rear axle housing from twisting in the leaf springs. This prevents the rear tires from hopping off the ground when the wheels begin to spin, and provides much better and more consistent traction for high-power starts and burnouts. This is very important for quicker hole-shots and reduced reaction times.
The URD traction bar also prevents the rear axle housing from twisting in the leaf springs during hard braking. And it provides greater control when accelerating around a turn.
Our traction bar is a unique design that is completely bolt-on. It consists of a very stout LASER cut and welded bracket that bolts to the rear differential.
An adjustable torque control bar mounts to the bracket using high-quality, grease-able polyurethane bushings, travels forward along the propeller shaft, and mounts to the frame cross member that supports the propeller shaft carrier bearing using a specially molded polyurethane bushing. There is an adjustment on the rear of the torque bar that will allow the user to adjust the preload on the springs to provide the optimum hole-shot traction.
The traction bar comes with a high quality red powder coat finish.
URD is not longer going to stock this item. We are going to build to order. The lead time is going to be in the 6-8 week range. This will make it a special order item and once confirmed cannot be canceled or returned.

Install is not for the novice mechanic, it can be done in your driveway but having access to a lift will make the installation that much easier. Just make sure you follow the directions and you will have zero issues.

A must have for any X-Runner owner. No other option better to control the XR tendency to bounce when under hard acceleration. Best part for XR either stock or tuned up. Eliminated all the twist in the axle… now if it doesn’t hook up its leaving black marks and there isn’t anything wrong with either.
