This CNC billet machined adapter plate will allow you to install a larger throttle valve on your single VVTi 1GR-FE 4.0L V6 engine.
It fits the 1GR-FE engines with the single VVTi (05+ Tacoma, 07-09 FJ, 03-09 4Runner) and allows you to move from the stock 65mm throttle and upgrade it to the 76mm throttle valve found on the later dual VVTi engines found in the 2005+ 2UZ-FE 4.7L V8 and 2007+ 3UR-FE 5.7L V8. Throttle valve from a 2006 Sequoia does not fit.
This adapter is used to install the much larger (76mm) throttle valve from the larger Toyota engines to your 4.0L V6.
It is a simple bolt on installation, but will take a little while for the stock ECU to learn to properly control the idle. This will be much easier to do on automatic transmission trucks than the manual transmission trucks.
Note- This adapter may work on other applications than what we list them for, but we do know it does not work on:
2008 Lexus IS250 with the 2.5l 4GR-FSE.
Installation Note:
Idle will run high on some vehicles but will readjust once the ECU learns to properly control the idle (this can take up to 800 miles on some vehicles). The stock air filter box may not be able to fit the larger diameter of the 76mm throttle valve. Aftermarket intakes my require a larger silicone boot to fit, 3-3.25″.

Great part fits perfect with the tundra TB. Just don’t forget to order a 3.5 to 3 inch silicone reducer for the TB to intake tube. Huge difference only took about 5 minutes for truck to adjust the idle
